Mrs. Ernestine S. Smith, age 88, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, April 30, in NHC Columbia Health Care.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted Wednesday at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with J.C. Holt, Jr., officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Henderson, AR.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 2:00 ? 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Dewar, OK, native was the daughter of the late Roy and Alberta Payne Able. She was the widow of the late Andrew W. Smith and the late Hoyt K. Smith. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter: Beverly Charles Brown of Mt. Pleasant; one brother: Don Watt of Leesburg, FL; one sister: Norma Dominy of Huntington, TX; grandchildren: Susan J.C., Jr. Holt of Mt. Pleasant, Chuck Lori Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Andy Alicia Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Joey Mittler of Gary, IN, Sandy David Baffin of Chicago, IL and David Mittler of Chicago, IL; 12 great-grandchildren and a son-in-law: Joe Mittler of Chicago, IL. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two daughters: Francine Smith and Regina Mittler.
