Ernest "Bubby" Ragsdale

Ernest “Bubby” Ragsdale, age 80, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, TN passed away Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Bubby was born on August 10, 1934 to the late Ernest and Opal Ragsdale here in Maury County, TN. Bubby dedicated 43 years working for the City of Mt. Pleasant Gas Department. He was a renowned gardener growing several at one time. After his harvest he would load up his vegetables and simply give them away. Even though Bubby never had children of his own, he was a loving uncle, father and brother to many. He simply thrived on helping people. He never turned the first one down. He was of the Christian faith.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Bubby is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Kennedy Ragsdale of Mt. Pleasant; Two stepsons: Bryan Wayne Dye and James Randall Dye both of Mt. Pleasant; One sister: Annie Bell Ragsdale; One brother-in-law: Harvey Hughes; Two nephews: Sherman Staggs and Gary Ragsdale; One great nephew: Daniel Staggs. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Bubby was preceded in death by his sister Dellie Lucille Hughes, his brother Homer Ragsdale “Sonny Boy” and one nephew, Herman Staggs.
