Ernest Leroy Severtsen

Mr. Ernest LeRoy Severtsen, 80, a Christian and a resident of Antrim Circle in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, July 24 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Graveside services for Mr. Severtsen will be conducted Friday, July 27 at 11:00 am at the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN with Rick Points officiating.
Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
Born in La Crosse, WI, he was the son of the late Rev. Olaf and Senora Lundh Severtsen and husband of Lois Orr Severtsen.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael Celesta Severtsen of Santa Ana, CA; a daughter, Gail Andrew Greer of Lynnville; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Richard Quinley of San Diego, CA.
Mr. Severtsen was the founder and the National Director of the Bobby Sox Softball for over 40 years. The program benefited thousands of girls, boys, parents and other adults throughout our country. The National Headquarters is located in Buena Park, CA.
