Faye left her earthly home on October 14, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Dena and C.W. Brewer on October 10, 1933, in Columbia, Tennessee, and spent most of her life there until moving to New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 2017. Growing up in Tennessee, she had 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Family meant the world to her. Throughout her life, she showed them, unconditional love. After marrying Jim in 1955, she had two beautiful children who became her world. She mastered the art of cooking, baking, and creating her beautiful home. She worked part-time for 20 years at Ye Peddler Gift Shop. Later in life, she enjoyed listening to music and dancing.
She was the greatest cheerleader to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. After moving to Florida, she spent much of her time doting on her 3 great-granddaughters and enjoying precious moments with her family. Faye, Mom, Nanny, and Grandma's light and love will be forever missed.
She is reunited in our Heavenly home with her parents, husband James McFarland, son Bruce McFarland, granddaughter Brooke McFarland, twin sister Maye Johnston, brothers Austin and Charles Brewer, and sisters Virginia Dunn, Flora Stone, and Juanita Voss.
She now watches down from Heaven over her husband Don Comp, daughter Donna (John) Martin, granddaughter Mallory (Geoffrey Grau) Loveless, grandson Karter (Marissa) Martin, great-granddaughters Temperance, Livia, and Harper, sister Laura Park, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee on Friday, October 21 from Noon to 2 pm with the service beginning at 2 pm, and burial immediately following in Polk Memorial Gardens.
