Eric D. Fullmer

Eric David Fullmer, age 82, passed away on June 3, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee. Born on August 12, 1941, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to the late John Luther Fullmer and Ellen Sophia Ericson Fullmer. His siblings, John Jr., Paul, Lucille, Evelyn, and Katy preceded him in death. Eric graduated from Grand Junction Central High School, followed by Mesa College (Associates Degree).

On September 5, 1964, Eric married Marilyn Ann Zipse. Together, they shared 59 years, and raised two children. Eric spent much of his career with the Colorado Department of Transportation, working as a Highway Crew Foreman in Mesa, Colorado until his retirement after 30 years of service. He was a member of Molina Baptist church for 30 plus years and was involved in leadership at Grand Mesa Christian camp.

After retirement, Eric and Marilyn moved to Columbia Tennessee and for the next 20 years had been a member of Zion Presbyterian Church. He also volunteered as a driver with Maury United Ministries for 18 plus years. Eric was a history buff who enjoyed restoring and collecting antique cars and was a 40-year member of the Vintage Motor Car Club of America (VMCCA). 

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Marilyn Ann Fullmer; his children, Steve (Holly) Fullmer and Kim (Paul) Brenner; and his grandchildren, Hannah (Jared) Anderson, Lindsey Fullmer, Joshua Fullmer, Zach Brenner, Jacob Fullmer, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Eric's life on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Zion Presbyterian Church, with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Paul Joiner. Eric will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
