Enrico "Coe" Pruter

April 25, 1930 — February 3, 2011

Mr. Enrico "Coe" Pruter, age 80, Columbia resident, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Pruter will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin with military honors provided by the United States Army.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 2:00 -6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Enrico was born April 25, 1930 in Davidson County, the son of the late William Henry Pruter and Anna Lemmisar Paradise Pruter. He was the fourth child of 6 children and grandson of Confederate soldier, Pvt. David L. Paradise. He was the husband of 56 years of Faye Moss Pruter of Columbia. Enrico was an officer with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency from 1953 until his retirement in 1984. He served in the Army Air Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife and children, Mr. Pruter especially loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and getting together with everyone at the family reunions. He also enjoyed being able to be outdoors in his line of work and had the opportunity to meet and get to know many people in conjunction with his job.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Kathy Don Gibson of Columbia, Karen Weldon Floyd of Spring Hill and Steven Jill Pruter of Franklin; grandchildren: Brent Holly Gibson of Lynnville, Valin Floyd and Natalie Floyd, both of Spring Hill, Christopher Pruter and Allison Pruter, both of Franklin; two great-grandchildren: Emma Claire Gibson and Luke Thomas Gibson; three sisters: Annie Pruter of Murfreesboro, Elizabeth Dillard of Nashville and Dolores Bobby Davenport of Antioch; one brother: Lawrence Dot Pruter of Nashville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pruter was preceded in death by one brother: Frederick Pruter.

Pallbearers will be Brent Gibson, Valin Floyd, Don Gibson, Weldon Floyd, Ronnie Brown and Patrick Pruter. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Pruter, Bobby Davenport, Bruce Dillard, Gus Krantz, Bob Drumright, Chris Brown, Corey Brown, Harry Masterson, Dr. James Kelley, Bobby Fox, Tom Burt and Bill Ammons.
