Mrs. Emma Sue Wells Gregg, 80, a resident of Greely Dr. in Columbia, died Tuesday morning, December 24, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Nashville, Tn.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gregg will be conducted Friday, December 27, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Wendell Robinson and John Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Lewis County native was the daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Walker Wells and wife of the late Roy Lee Gregg, who died April of 2001. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Graymere Church of Christ, where she taught Tuesday and Thursday School for 16 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Norma Steve Wiles of Nashville and Barbara Elmer Twilley of Gallatin; a son, Roy Dennis Carol Gregg of Birmingham, Al.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret West, Dorothy Schulin, Elizabeth Pennington and Virginia Miller; seven brothers, Burt, Robert, Clifford, Frank, Clarence, J.C., and Bernard Wells.
Active pallbearers will be William Pigg, Ricky Stutts, Rodney Stutts, Robert Bozeman, Glenn Kinnard and Elmer Twilley, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Graymere Church of Christ Adult Sunday School Class.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
