Emma Lee Hardison, age 85, a resident of Columbia, TN passed away Monday January 19th at Life Care Center of Columbia.
Emma Lee as she was known came into this world on July 12, 1929. Born to the late A.P. & Ethie Mae Hardison here in Maury County. Emma Lee loved to garden. She was infamous for being a woman of few words. She was a life long member of Sharps Corner Church of Christ. Emma Lee loved all of her nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating the life of Emma Lee will be held Friday January 23, 2015 beginning at 10 am at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Randy Short will be officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. also at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Tim Jefferson, Burbon Lewis, Steven Hood, Jim Fultz, Mark Hood, Billy Joe Hendricks, William “Bill” Horne and Dwight Groves. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Sharps Corner Church of Christ.
Emma Lee is survived by two nieces: Gerrie Lynn (Timothy) Jefferson and Lisa A. Duvall; Two great nieces: Emily D. (Steven) Hood and Elizabeth (Burbon) Lewis; Three great-great nieces: Holly, Hadley and Miley; Two great-great nephews: Harrison and Timothy. Emma Lee is preceded in death by her brother Marshall Hardison and her sister Lenis Duvall.
