Mrs. Emily Lesofsky Garvin, age 87, a resident of Morning Point in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, at Columbia Care & Rehab.
Funeral services for Mrs. Garvin will be conducted Saturday May 3, at 1:00 P.M. at St Catherine's Catholic Church in Columbia with Father Davis Chackaleckel officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Garden Mausoleum.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Simpson, PA native was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Gilen Lesofsky. She was the widow of Russell Garvin. Mrs. Garvin was a homemaker and a member of St Catherine's Catholic faith.
Survivors include her children: Pat Garvin of Slidell, LA, Georgia Tom Stephens of Watertown, TN, Regina Carter Pillow of Culleoka; a sister: Wanda Grose of Mt Pocono, PA; grandchildren: Sasha Irons of Watertown, TN, Katie Garvin of Atlanta, GA, Neal Garvin and Rachal Garvin, both of Nashville, TN, Matthew Pillow of Clearwater, FL, Emily Garvin of Slidell, LA and Steven Pillow of Culleoka; great-granddaughter: Isabella Pace of Watertown, TN. She was preceded in death by a son: James Garvin; a daughter-in-law: Vivian Garvin.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends of the family. Honorary pallbearers will be Columbia Care and Rehab South Wing Staff. A special thanks to Dr. Naddy and her sitters, Addie Webster, Shelia Hickman and Judy Washburn.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Maury County Unit, 2000 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37203.
