Elsie Foster Waldrop

Elsie Foster Waldrop, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Elsie was born on February 1, 1925 in Maury County, Tennessee to the late James M. Foster and Margaret Potts. Elsie was married to Howard Perry Waldrop and the two shared a beautiful life together until he passed away. Elsie was a member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ. She loved going anywhere – you could start up a car and she would hop right on in. Elsie loved to eat catfish and always enjoyed a good laugh.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy McNeese officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Elsie is survived by her daughter Sue (Virgil) Stewart of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; grandson Steve (Vicki) Wright of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; granddaughters Connie (Byron) Jones and Tammie (Jeff) Sisk of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; great-granddaughters Jamie Lyon, Daryn Cobb, and Katelyn Buchanan; and great-grandsons Kyle Wright and Zach Sisk; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Howard Waldrop; parents James M. Foster and Margaret Foster; four brothers; and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Steve Wright, Kyle Wright, Zach Sisk, Cody Buchanan, Ronnie Staggs, and Jason Cobb.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
