Mrs. Elsie Louise Chapman Rail, age 80, a resident of Camp Branch Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday at her residence.
Graveside services for Mrs. Rail will be conducted Monday, April 5th at 2:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Bro. Vernon Brooks officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Born August 14, 1929 in Liberty, SC, Mrs. Rail was the daughter of the late Ben Arthur Chapman and the late Lizzie Mae Shirley Martin and the wife of Henry Rail. She worked as a waitress and cashier for several restaurants and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother: Ansel Betty Chapman of Greenwood, SC; brothers-in-law: Harry Ann Rail of Mt. Pleasant and Tom Ethel Rail of Wisconsin; sister-in-law: Mrs. R.O. Bradburn of Columbia; special great nephew: Nathan Rail of Summertown.
