Elma "Wilma" Head

Mrs. Elma Loraine "Wilma" Head, age 83, a resident of Pleasant Drive in Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Life Care Center in Columbia
Funeral services for Mrs. Head will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery in Mooresville.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home.
Born in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of the late Rudy and Mildred Coon Burdt and wife of the late Milton Vance Head. She was a homemaker and a member of Graymere Church of Christ. She was a member of the Marie Hickman Red Hat Ladies, attended the monthly President Council Meeting, loved to play bingo and enjoyed helping others when she could. She loved to attend the weekly cooking class and loved to get her hair and nails done. She will be sorely missed by all.
Survivors include her children: Jeff Head of Columbia and Scott Head of Florida; a sister, Dolly Luketich of Flint, MI; daughter-in-law to be: Sarah Brown of Columbia; grandchildren: Shawn Parsons of Leoma, Chris Head, Jeremy Head, Josh Head and Marina Head, all of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Steve Head; a daughter: Shirley head; sisters: Toots Dananzo, Jane Ferchak and Joan Luketich; a brother: Bill Burdt.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Head, Scott Head, Bryan Ridley, John Handy, Benny Klinert and Dalton Burrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Kinnard, Danny Angus and the staff of Life Care Center of Columbia.
