Ella “Jean” Davis, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at her home in Waynesboro.
Jean was born on October 27, 1934 to Ralph Sternberg and Bernice Slatter Sternberg in Perrysburg, Ohio. She married Curtis Davis on November 3, 1951. Jean worked as a cook at EW James Grocery in Waynesboro. She loved to read, put together puzzles, and do word searches.
A memorial service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Waynesboro Church of God with Pastor Tommy Burks officiating.
Jean is survived by her husband Curtis Davis of Waynesboro; daughters Connie (John) Brockway of Michigan, Peggy (Gene) Michonski of Waynesboro, Susan (Dennis) Cross of Michigan, and Kim (John) Sharp of Michigan; son William (Kathy) Davis of Michigan; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two nieces; three nephews; sister Debbie (Tom) Buzzo of Florida; brother Mark Sternberg of Florida; and her best friend “Little Bit”.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Bernice Sternberg, son Frank Davis, and brother Norman Sternberg.
