Elizabeth Shaw Cummins, age 57, a resident of North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, October 22, at her residence.
Funeral services for Elizabeth will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Danny Laster officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was born July 9, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Frank Shaw, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Maxwell Shaw. She was a former owner and operator of the Southern Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. Elizabeth was a loving mother and grandmother who loved cooking for her family. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include her children: Paula David Moore, Rebecca Chris Ingrum and Penny Cummins, all of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers: Frank Kay Shaw, III, of Mt. Pleasant and Richard Shaw of Summertown; grandchildren: Leah Moore, Maegan Moore, Ashlyn Cummins, Makayla Ingrum, Emalee Ingrum, and Haley Pinkard, all of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by one sister: Mary Shaw.
The family would like to give special thanks to her home health nurses, Teresa Riggins and Nicole Wilburn.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Cummins, Jeremy Cummins, Stephen Shaw, T.D. Talbot, Mike Ballard and Steve Sims. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Southside Baptist Church.
