Mrs. Robbie Elizabeth Pope Teeples, 71, a resident of East 17th Street in Columbia, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Teeples will be conducted Sunday, February 20, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Henry Mobley and Rev. Albert Pope officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends after 4:00 Saturday at the church. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
Born in Limestone County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cordie Rolin Pope and wife of Henry F. Teeples. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Her life centered on her family and church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Judy Carol Joe Green of Columbia and Rita Timothy Briggs of Unionville, TN; a son, Darral Janice Teeples of Columbia; five sisters, Earlene Anderson of Pulaski, Shelby Robert Owens of Culleoka, Jewel Walker, Greatel Charles Wales and Barbara Cecil Kelley, all of Columbia; three brothers, Allen Sandra Pope of Elkton, TN, Rev. Albert Hazel Pope and Dan Pauline Pope, both of Columbia; four grandchildren, Miranda Rogers Brad Hindman of Savannah, TN, Stephen Rogers of Unionville, TN, Samuel Teeples and Myra Teeples, both of Columbia; two step-grandchildren, Heather Briggs and Zack Briggs, both of Unionville, TN; a great grandchild, Bradley Hindman of Savannah, TN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Pope, Howard Pope and Louie Pope.
Pallbearers will be the men of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.
