Elizabeth Pike Clark

December 26, 1926 — June 2, 2012

Elizabeth Buckner Pike Clark was born December 26, 1926, in Santa Fe, the daughter of the late William Buckner and Rosa Patton Buckner. During her school years, she attended Enterprise School. Elizabeth was first married to the late Rassie James Pike and later to the late Melvin Clark. Elizabeth enjoyed working word search puzzles and liked to watch sports on TV. Her daughters and grandchildren tell of all the sewing, crocheting and quilting she did, making quilts, afghans, and numerous crocheted Christmas ornaments for each of them. She was a long time member of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ.

Elizabeth passed away on Saturday afternoon at her home.

Survivors include her daughters, Roberta Pike of Columbia, Linda Jerry Cummins of Mt. Pleasant and Sherry Darryl Holt of Hohenwald; one sister, Willa Mae Walker of Nashville; one brother, Marion Eugene Buckner of North Carolina; grandchildren, Monica Gilbert Marshall of Mt. Pleasant, Christy Wyrick of Nashville, Jeremy Cummins of Mt. Pleasant, Amanda Kinzie, Joy Holt, Hillary Trogdon and Erica Holt, all of Hohenwald; great-grandchildren, Ashley Shane Smith, Breanna Marshall, Brian Thomas Cummins, Lane Cross, Jessie Kinzie, Liam Holt and Tony Trogdon; special step-daughter, Barbara Lindsey. In addition to her husbands and parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Jeff Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Cummins, Jeremy Cummins, Gilbert Marshall, Darryl Holt, Adam Lindsey and Eddie Bassham. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the members of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ for all their acts of kindness over the past months.
