Elizabeth Davis Rosario

March 18, 1931 — June 7, 2011

Elizabeth Sullivan Davis Rosario was born March 18, 1931 in Maury County to the late James Sullivan and Mary Jane Askin Sullivan. She was first married to the late Thomas L. Davis and later to John Rosario of Columbia.

Elizabeth was retired from Publix Shirt Factory where she was a press operator for 34 years. She was a member of the VFW Willis Fleming Post 4969 Ladies Auxiliary. Elizabeth was a faithful member of the House of Prayer Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband, John include three sisters, Irene Collins and Pauline Kelley, both of Columbia and Lennie Calvin Collins of Spring Hill; a nephew whom she raised, Chris Dodson of Columbia; step-children, Nick Rosario of WY, Mimi Schmid of Denver, CO, Tina Rosario of WY and Tony Rosario of CO along with other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and first husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Davis, a son, Eddie Dean Davis and two brothers, Floyd Sullivan and Elgie Sullivan.

Elizabeth passed away on Tuesday morning, June 7, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Donald Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Knob Creek Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday and Thursday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Dodson, Jimmy Collins, Timmy Colins, Wayne Collins, Len Harvey, and Danny Stricklin. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Harvey, Henry Bray and Ronnie Craig.
