Eleanor Budge Daubney

Eleanor M. Budge Daubney, age 93 of Columbia, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Eleanor was born October 31, 1919 to the late Christopher Kit Budge and Grace Henderson Budge in Niagara Falls, New York. She was the widow of the late Roy H. Daubney who preceded her in death in 1977. She was a sales clerk in the men’s department at Parks Belk for twenty years. She was also a member of the St. Pauls Methodist Church in Niagara Falls.

Eleanor was an active homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, needle point, baking, music and dance. She also enjoyed her time swimming especially at the beach. Above all, the most important things she enjoyed was the time she spent with family. She left lasting impressions on everyone she met, she was loved and liked by all.

The family invites their friends to visit Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted following the visitation at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Rev. Emily Barker officiating. Burial will follow Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Niagara Falls Memorial Park, 5871 Military Road, Lewiston, New York 14092.

Survivors include her children: Grace Ann (David) Dahlgren of Columbia, Donna Ann Hewitt of Niagara Falls, and Roy E. (Diane) Daubney; grandchildren: Roy Kevin Daubney, Suzanne (Korey) Cooper, Michelle (Bob) Clawson, David (Chi) Dahlgren, Samantha (Cornelius) Polk, Scott (Lynn) Hewitt and Patricia Hewitt; eight great grandchildren: Mikayla Dahlgren, David T. Dahlgren, Katlyn Cooper, Seth Cooper, Madalynn Clawson, Mackenzie Hewitt, Evan Hewitt and Courtnee Denny; one sister-in-law: Renee Budge. Eleanor is preceded in death by her son, Robert Daubney, her brother, William Budge, and her sisters, Isabell Thomas and Marjorie Zimmerman.
