Eldridge Raymond Stanfill

Mr. Eldridge Raymond ?Lightning? Stanfill, 77, a resident of Rainbow Circle in Columbia, died Monday, September 29, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Stanfill will be conducted Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Leonard Deen officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Rodolphus and Pearl Hill Stanfill. He was a retired welder being a former employee of Monsanto Chemical Company and Maury Steel. He was an avid coon hunter and member of the Philippi Church of Christ.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Jackie Gibbs of Columbia, TN; a son, Ricky Debbie Stanfill of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Sara Johnson and Katherine Prince both of Columbia, TN; three brothers, Lester Stanfill and Eddie Ray Stanfill both of Santa Fe, TN, and John Stanfill of Primm Springs, TN. Other relatives include grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jasper ?Jack? Stanfill.
Pallbearers will be Pee Wee Johnson, Jimmy Rowland, Jackie Rowland, Petey Wright, John Wright, Joe Bell, Leslie Goad, and Pete Spencer. Honorary pallbearers will be the brothers and sisters of Philippi Church of Christ, his coon hunting buddies, the staff of the Skilled Nursing Unit at Maury Regional Hospital, Dr. Robert McClure, Dr. Moataz Toban, employees of Columbia Fire Department and the South Central Regional Health Office.
