Mr. Edward H. ?Eddie? Meinck, 76, a resident of Running Deer Drive in Columbia, died Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
The funeral mass for Mr. Meinck will be recited Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Reverend Patrick Connor officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Brooklyn, New York native was the son of the late John and Margaret Witterholt Meinck. He was the husband of Catherine Bennis ?Kitty? Meinck of Columbia. He was a retired die cast supervisor for General Motors Corporation in Trenton, New Jersey. He served our country in the United States Navy and was a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Theresa ?Terri? Meinck of Columbia, TN, Kathleen ?Kooker? Lloyd Snyder of Levittown, PA, and Margaret ?Pegi? Jerime Thurston of Coupville, WA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Snyder of Fairless Hills, PA and Patricia Snyder of Shirleyburg, PA; two sisters, Mary Al Lippman and Joan Meinck both of New York; a brother, Bernard Mary Meinck of New York; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Meinck.
Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
