Mr. Edward D. Richmond, 79, a resident of Sunnymeade Drive in Columbia, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Richmond will be conducted Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family visited with friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Louisville, Kentucky native was the son of the late Edward D. and Blanche Sells Richmond. He was the husband of Evelyn ?Becky? Allen Richmond. He retired from Sears as a service man. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a brother, Harold Dean Richmond and a sister, Sylvia Gene Hayes both of Lawrenceburg, TN; a sister-in-law, Marquerite Hardison of Columbia, TN; a brother-in-law, John Ed Mammie Allen of Columbia, TN.
Pallbearers will be members of the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.
