Mrs. Edna Winn, age 63, a resident of E. 17th Street in Columbia, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Winn will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, May 19, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Sister Sherrie Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Pearl Thompson Stewart and wife of Johnny George Winn. She was co-owner and operator of Johnny's Cab Company with her husband and a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Cheryl Roy White, Sheron Arnold Francis and Reda Matt Mills, all of Columbia; a son: Johnny W. Winn of Columbia; stepchildren: Tommy Lynn Winn of KY, Sherry Norvel Willbanks of Lewisburg, Mark Winn of Nashville, Sue Andy North and Juanita John Park, both of Culleoka; a niece Tammy Shawn Fields, whom she raised; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Rhonda Kay Winn; two brothers and six sisters.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Scott Winn, Derrick Allen Hay, Matthew Scott Mills III, Adam Christopher Mills, Tommy Ray Winn and G. Willbanks. Honorary pallbearers will be Faye Dodson and Kathy Davidson.
