Edna Jewell Walker

Edna Jewell Walker, age 85, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Edna was born on August 23, 1929 in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Frank Pope and Cortey Roland Pope. Edna loved her Lord and her church. She was one of the original members of The Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Edna was very involved in the church when she was younger. She helped sell food to raise funds for the building. Enda loved her family very much.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Henry Mobley. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Edna is survived by her sons Gary (Jewel) Walker of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and Steve (Sue) Walker of Pulaski, Tennessee; grandson James P. Walker of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters Jennifer (Mike) Jeter of Petersburg, Tennessee, Betrina (Dave) Davidson of Massachusetts, Mary Elizabeth Walker of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Sherry Lynn Baxter, and Lynn Walker; great-grandchildren Eric Davidson of Columbia, Tennessee, Samantha Davidson of Columbia, Tennessee, Lance Davidson of Columbia, Tennessee, Tyler Davidson of Columbia, Tennessee, Mary Leanna Jeter of Petersburg, Tennessee, Sarah Beth Jeter, John Michael Jeter of Petersburg, Tennessee, Zelvin Clark Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Wayne Hobby of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, JJ Hobby of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, and Janie Hobby, of Mt. Pleasant; great-great-granddaughter Lilah Beth Jeter; sisters Shelby J. Owens of Culleoka, Tennessee, Gretchel Wells of Columbia, Tennessee, Barbara Ann Kelley of Columbia, Tennessee; and brother Alan Pope of Alabama.

Edna was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
