Edna Childress Stanford

Mrs. Edna Childress Stanford, 75, a resident of Tindell Lane in Columbia, died Sunday at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stanford will be conducted
Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Cora Joines Childress and wife of the late Luther Stanford. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Margie David Patterson and Marilyn John Brock, both of Columbia; four sons, Ron, Jeff, JamesBrendaand Robert Beverly Stanford, all of Columbia; a sister, Florence Childress of Ky.; a brother, Harry Childress of Pulaski; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Stanford.
Active pallbearers will be Carey, Wade and Keith Stanford, Roger and Eugene Childress, Dennis Draper, Tommy Burleson, Terry Hollis, David Browning and Marty Kindred, Jr.
