Edna Callie Chapman, age 87, of Crestview, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 8, 2013. She was surrounded by her family. Edna was born in Bibb City, Columbus, Georgia, on January 11, 1926, to Callie and Homer Watkins. She resided in Crestview and the surrounding area for 38 years. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of the Airport Road Church of Christ in Crestview, Florida.
Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Brown Chapman, son, Danny Chapman, great grandchild, Darius, parents, Callie and Homer Watkins, and brother, Marion Watkins.
Mrs. Chapman is survived by her 11 children, 36 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren, Daughter, June Leflore, Pulaski, Tennessee, son, Grover Chapman and wife, Ann, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, daughter, Wilma Burks, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, daughter, Janice Franks, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Darlene Chapman, wife of Danny Chapman, of Valparaiso, Florida, daughter, Linda Butler, and husband Wayne of Crestview, Florida, son, Darrell Chapman, and wife, Cathy of Niceville, Florida, son, Perry Chapman and wife, Debbie of Crestview, Florida, daughter, Reba (Rita) Chavis and husband Terry of Niceville, Florida, daughter, Rachel Jennings and husband Mark, of Enterprise, Alabama, daughter, Sarah Bryan, and husband, Vance of Freeport, Florida, daughter, Valerie Esposito and husband, Dennis of Sarasota, Florida, and a sister, Doris Rogers, of Portland, Oregon.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. The service for Edna will take place following the viewing, April 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
