Edna Bishop Williams

Mrs. Edna McAfee Bishop Williams, 90, a resident of Tidlem Road in the Mt. Joy Community, died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be conducted Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Charlie Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.williamfh.com .
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Clair and Lou Willie Johnson McAfee. She was the widow of Jesse Williams who died in 1997 and was first married to William Howard Bishop who died in 1966. She was a retired private duty nurse and former school teacher in the Lawrence County area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Freddie Kelsey of Las Vegas, Nevada; three sons, William Bishop and Eddie Nida Bishop both of the Mt. Joy Community, and David Johanna Bishop of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren, Marie Eatman of Raleigh, North Carolina, Ellen Lynch of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Kristi Henderson of Castiac, California, Eddie H. Bishop of Lubbock, Texas, Jeremiah Bishop of the Mt. Joy Community, Dana Bishop and Matthew Bishop both of Murfreesboro; six great grandchildren, Breann Henderson, Kenzie Henderson, Markie Henderson, Mark Henderson, Mike Hennessy, and Samantha Bishop; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mitzi Whitwell Lynch; a sister, Katie Hinson; a brother, George McAfee.
Pallbearers will be Eddie H. Bishop, Eddie McAfee, Billy Grimes, Billy Watson, Tommy Floyd, and Russell Cothran. Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and staff of NHC/ Columbia Health Care, Ricky Duberry, Todd Duberry, Carter Duberry, Joe Leonard, Bucky Blackburn, Willard Grimes, Joe Curtis, Joe Brawner, James Ray Martin, Earl Hayes, Doug McClain, Jimmy McClain, Mac West, Terry West, Jimmy Luckett, and Hyman Franks.
