Mrs. Edith Maxine Decker Andrews, 75, resident of Highway 166 North in Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Andrews will be conducted Wednesday August 4, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Gilley Andrews and Johnny Parrish officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Bronx, New York native was the daughter of the late William and Mazie Wilson Decker. She was the wife of Thomas Harris Andrews of Mt. Pleasant. While serving in the United States Air Force, she was an operator in telecommunications at the Pentagon. Mrs. Andrews was a former employee of the Bank of Manhattan in Manhattan, New York. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Linda Singh, Cathy James Siegel and Debbie Moore all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a sister, Lorraine Liggio of Hollywood, FL; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Andrews who died in September of 2002; a sister, Dottie Zapka.
Pallbearers will be Jim Siegel, Bob Voorhees, Forrest Voorhees, Thomas Vaughn, Joe Webb and David Cox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Parrish, Dr. Gibran Naddy & Staff, Dr. James Lancaster & Staff and Gilley Andrews.
