Edith B. Confehr, age 93, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at NHC Hillview.
Edith was born on September 2, 1922 in Mars Hill, North Carolina to the late John A. and Mary McCall Bennett. Edith married Wilmer Confehr on January 17, 1948. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Rollins University in Winter Haven, Florida. She retired as an occupational therapist. Edith was of the Unitarian Universalist faith.
The family will have a service at a later date at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
Edith is survived by her sons Clinton B. (Susan) Confehr of Columbia, Tennessee and Peter A. (Jeanne) Confehr of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren Lisa Confehr, Christine (Ryan) Anderson, and Catherine E. Confehr.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband Wilmer D. Confehr; her parents John A. and Mary Bennett; and brothers Lawton Bennett and Hartland Bennett.
