Mr. Edgar "Old Timer" Davis, 65, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at his home on Adams Ave. in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Monday, October 25, 2004, at 7:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Les Albritton officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late James E. and Pauline Buie Davis. He was a self -employed laborer and attended the Church of God.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna Ricky Warren of Mt. Pleasant, Norma Gail Davis of Lawrenceburg and Glenda Gail Joe York of Williamsport; a son, Eddie Lynn Lisa Davis of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Edna Hansel of Ft. Wayne, IN; three granddaughters, Alexis Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Christina Reese and Ashley York, both of Williamsport; five grandsons, Jonathan Reese of Pulaski, Joe York Jr. of Williamsport, Cody Davis, Jacob Davis and Steven Davis, all of Mt. Pleasant; three great grandchildren, Jonathan Reese of Pulaski, Summer Reese and Autumn Reid, both of Williamsport; a special aunt, Clara Sissy Davis of Summertown; a special buddy, Ricky Lynn Warren of Mt. Pleasant.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Warren, Patrick Staggs, D.J. Thompson, Jonathan Warren, Garry Staggs and Dennis Thompson.
