An early morning call came to Earnestine Banks on Friday, October 12, 2018. Earnestine accepted the call and was transformed from mortality to immortality as The Angels from on high delivered her Soul back to God who giveth. We gather to celebrate the home going of Sister Earnestine Banks while she rests on that Celestial Shore.
Sis. Earnestine Hall Banks was born June 11, 1943 to Christian parents who adored their eighth child. Parents Charlie Hall and Alice Mae hall adored the family of two boys and six girls until their demise. The eldest sister, Mattie Jewel Berry is the sole remaining sibling and resides in Prentice, Mississippi.
Sis. Earnestine Banks grew in Silver Creek, Mississippi and moved to Flint, Michigan at the age of seventeen. Sis. Banks obeyed the Gospel call and was baptized at North Central Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. Robert Burt. She later moved to Columbia, Tennessee to help raise those precious grandsons. She chose to worship at Carmack Blvd. Church of Christ and was welcomed in that family.
Sis. Earnestine loved to sew, loved to garden, and loved to decorate. Sis. Banks was a meticulous house keeper and loved her church family.
Sis. Earnestine was married to Rayfield Banks who preceded her in death.
She leaves precious memories on the hearts of one daughter, Jackolyn Denise (Darron) Williams; three grandchildren James Reginald Phillips, Noah Elizar Williams, and Jacoby Williams; four great-grandchildren Tiara and Ciara Phillips, Kamron J. Phillips, and Cayden Phillips; one sister Mattie Jewel; nieces Libby, Alice, Tillman, Gary, Indiana, and Cora Lee of St. Louis, MO; a host of nephews, including one special nephew Charles Hall of Flint, Michigan; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
