Drewey J. Keener, 86, a resident of N. Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, June 10th at Hidden Acres Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Keener will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Jim Walsh officiating. Burial will follow the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Born June 3, 1924 in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Jessie and Jeanery Flippo Keener and the husband of Bobbie McNally Keener. He was a retired maintenance supervisor from Rhone Poulenc. He and his wife owned and operated the Ace Hardware in Mt. Pleasant for nearly 20 years. Mr. Keener was a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Carol Robert Baker of Mt. Pleasant; brother: Landon Lulabell Woodall of Lawrenceburg; sister: Ruby Leon Stockard of Michigan; grandson: Jay Stacy Smith; great grandson: Landen Manning. He was preceded in death by a brother: A.D. Woodall.
Pallbearers will be Tony Woodall, Glenn Woodall, Dustin Woodall, Ricky Woodall, Brad Woodall and Melvin Stockard. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Thomas, Eddie Talley, Douglas Marshall, Roger Jones, members of the Locust Street Church of Christ and co-workers of Rhone Poulenc.
Memorials may be made to the Locust Street Church of Christ, 108. S. Locust St., Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474
