Mr. Douglas Wade Sims passed away on December 23, 2012 at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

Douglas was born on July 31, 1961 in Maury County, Tennessee to the late Odies Sims and the late Alura Tucker Sims. He was a painter for several years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant and was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of Lodge # 610 in Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Sims is survived by his brother: Bobby (Katie) Sims; nephew: Cody Sims; nieces: Kaitlyn Baker, Greta (Stephen) McConnell; great-nieces: Brooklyn McConnell; and great-nephews: Sam McConnell and Colby McConnell.

Funeral services for Mr. Sims will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. Frank Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the McClain Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, December 27 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Masonic service being held at 8:00 p.m.

Cody Sims, Troy Lanier, Scottie Nance, Dan Pierce, James Green and Rob Wagonschutz will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge # 610 of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
