Dot Mae Howell

Dot Mae Howell, age 90, of Columbia, TN, passed away at home September 13th, 2013.

Dot was a member of the Baptist faith and a loyal member of The First Freewill Baptist Church in Columbia, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone she knew. She will be sadly missed by family and friends

Services for Dot will be held Tuesday, September 17th, at 2:00 p.m at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN with burial to follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. Family and friends may visit on Monday, September 16th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Rev. Mike Roberts will officiate the service.

Dot Mae Howell was the daughter of the late Monroe & Chessie Head of Lawrence County, TN. She was the wife of the late Marian C. Howell also of Lawrence County, TN. She is preceded in death by: Mark L. Howell of Arkansas, daughter; Mrs. Ruby A. (Charles) Boyd of Mt. Pleasant, TN, one granddaughter, siblings; five sisters, two twin brothers. .

Dot is survived by daughters: Mrs. Dot M. (Thomas) Williams of Culleoka, TN, Miss. Doris Cleo Dillehay of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Mrs. Sherrie D. (Rufus) Overstreet of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Mrs. Jonie M. (Sonny) Rice of Columbia, TN, Sons; Mr. Charles R. Howell of Columbia, TN, and Jeff Young of Mt. Pleasant, TN; several wonderful grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be J.C. Dillehay, Brandon Dillehay, Bobby Overstreet, Duke Williams, Sammy Howell and Billy Joe Willamy.
