Dorothy Smith Alexander

Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Smith Alexander, 78, a resident of Navaho Trail of Columbia, died, October 31, 2004 at the home of her daughter on Bryant Road in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be conducted Wednesday November 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Charles Blythe officiating. Entombment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home of Columbia and one hour prior to service time at the Church.

The Oakland County, Michigan native was the daughter of the late Henry B. and Ruth Hathorn Smith. She was the widow of Hubert Alexander, Sr. who died November 1, 2001. Mrs. Alexander was a former factory worker at Jambor in Wisconsin and a custodian at First Assembly of God. She was a member of the First Assembly of God and was a member of Prime Timers at the church. Mrs. Alexander loved crocheting, arts & crafts and her companion Buffy.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Kenneth Wimmer of Columbia, TN and Gayle Freeman of Daytona Beach, FL; two sons, Hubert Anthony Wayne Alexander of Milwaukee, WI and Malcolm Lee Belinda Alexander of Spring Hill, TN; a brother, Harry Smith; grandchildren, Tina Kevin Liss of Columbia, TN, Justin LaVitte of Columbia, TN, K.J. Wimmer and Scott Wimmer both of Columbia, TN, Carrie Schuch of Milwaukee, WI, Daniel Debbie Alexander and Michelle Johnson of Columbia, TN and Billy Joe Alexander of Anderson, IN; ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Alexander in September of 1977.

Pallbearers will be Justin LaVitte, Daniel Alexander, Kevin Liss, Kenneth Wimmer, Dale Templeton, Scott Wimmer, K.J. Wimmer and Paul Mitchell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Janet Templeton, Jean and David Doty, Kathy and Fred Alexander, Paula and Bob Perkins, Susie and Carl Keiper, Pastor Charles and Joy Blythe, Melinda and Greg Lancaster and members of the Prime Timers at First Assembly of God.
