Mrs. Dorothy Ptak Jordan, age 80, and a resident of Knob Creek Road in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, December 12 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan will be conducted Sunday at 5:00 P.M in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Terry Golden officiating. Graveside services will be on Thursday, December 20 at 10:00 AM in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Crestview, FL.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00 ? 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born in Selma, AL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Frank and Ethel Barber Ptak and wife of the late Leman Fay Jordan. She was a foster parent and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Gayle Elmer Baldwin of Jay, FL, Carolyn Sendlendski of Montgomery, AL, Margarett Golden of Columbia, Barbara Paul Frady of Coffeeville, MS and Betty Greg Paul of Paxton, FL; sister, Advinelle Norris of Prattville, AL; special friend, Richard Grissom of Columbia; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ethel Jordan; son-in-law, Albert Sandlendski.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Golden family, Dr. Nishenwa and all her special friends that loved her so much.
