Mrs. Dorothy McWilliams Carr, age 73, a resident of Timber Trail in Columbia, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, in Maury Regional Hospital
Funeral Services for Mrs. Carr will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points and Judge Jim T. Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Hugh and Med Copus McWilliams. She was the wife of the late Taylor L. Carr. She was a private duty sitter for many families in Maury Co., and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son: Gordon McWilliams of Columbia; one brother: Riley McWilliams of Mt. Pleasant; one sister: Myrtle Chapman of Mt. Pleasant; special nieces: Faye Burns and Geneva Chapman and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Buck, Elzo, Frank and A.J. McWilliams and by two sisters: Ocie Workman and Blanche Whitehead.
Pallbearers will be Enoch George, Joey Allen, Mike Dawson, Jim Spears, Leslie Burns and Brandon Burns, and Steve Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Darrel Rinehart, Dr. Moataz Toban, Tommy & Vickie Logue, Jerry & Carol Dickey, Chevy & Jimmy White, James Ray Boshers, Robby Adkins, Pam Dawson, Page Chamberlain, Margaret Morton, Johnny Whtiehead, Monk Woodard, Eddie Whtiehead, Vickie Allen, Steve Bosman Enterprises and all of Gordon?s river friends.
