Dorothy Janice Warner

December 1, 1929 — March 18, 2008

Mrs. Dorothy Janice Luckett Warner, age 78, a resident of Kentucky Ave. in Nashville and formerly of Columbia, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Warner will be conducted at a later date.

Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Bernice McClain Luckett and wife of the late Fred Warner. She was a nurse in the medical practice and a licensed funeral director and embalmer. She had worked for Williams Funeral Home and several funeral homes in the Nashville area and was the first National Board certified female mortician.

Survivors include her son: Rudy McNeely of Nashville; step-daughter: Karen W. Smith of Earlysville, VA; brothers: Wade Luckett of Cummins, GA and Donald Luckett of Franklin. She was preceded in death by a brother: James R. Luckett.
