Mrs. Dorothy Marceline Fields Gilbert Glezen, 69, died Monday at her residence on Glenstone Drive in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Glezen will be conducted Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Columbia with Reverend Mike Dawson and Reverend J. Arch Warren officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Out-of-state services will be conducted Saturday May 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. EST at the Naples Memorial Funeral Home with burial in the Naples Memorial Gardens in Naples, Florida with Jerry Blankenship officiating.

The Pahokee, Florida native was the daughter of the late Howard Dennison, Sr. and Louise Marceline Gonzales Fields. She was the widow of Glenn Glezen and was first married to Lewis Gilbert who died on November 9, 1980. She was a long-time resident of Naples, Florida and member of the First Baptist Church of Naples. She was retired from the banking industry in Naples, Florida with thirty five years of service. She was currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia. She loved to travel and her life was focused on the many activities of her family.

She is survived by her children, Terry Jeff Boggs of Columbia, TN, Lewis Joan Gilbert of Plantation, Fl, Tom Teresa Gilbert of Spring Hill, TN; a sister, Joyce Claude Cothron of Old Town, Fl; a sister-in-law, Julia fields of Spartanburg, SC and a brother-in-law, Leon ?Tommy? Thompkins of Lehigh Acres, Fl; grandchildren, Candace A. Gilbert, Lewis F. Gilbert, Katie J. Gilbert, Jeffrey P. Sara Boggs, Jr., Bryan L. Boggs, Steven L. Gilbert, Jessica M. Gilbert and Stuart L. Gilbert; a great-granddaughter, Bailee A. Boggs; three step-daughters, Nancy Richard Reese of Chesterfield, VA, Vickie Garcia of Valrico, FL, and Ginger Mark Johnson of Fredericksburg, VA; eight step-grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Thompkins and a brother, Howard Dennison Fields, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Boggs, Jr., Bryan Boggs, Steven Gilbert and men of the First Baptist Church.
