Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Mildred LeMay, age 84, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Dot was born on May 30, 1930 to Jonny James Nolan and Lela Fuller Nolan in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. She was a wonderful homemaker who married the love of her life, Willis H. Lemay sixty-five years ago. They had three daughters together and her husband and children were her world. She loved her children more than life itself. All her family remembers that, “she sure could cook!” Dot also had a beautiful voice and used it to sing praises to her Lord at Southside Baptist Church, where she was a member, and most recently attending Ebenezer Church. She also loved Angels and collecting them. Additionally, one of her favorite things to do for fun was to watch movies.
Dot is survived by her loving husband: Willis H. LeMay of Mt. Pleasant; daughters: Janet (Jerry, whom she considered a son) Sanders of Columbia, Kristie (James) Whitehead of Summertown and Misty (Rodney) Tidwell of Columbia; grandchildren: Jon LeMay, Jamie (Christie) Sanders, Jared (Heather) Sanders, Joel (Nicole) Sanders, Charity (Fred) Glass and Misty (Calvin) Jones; great-grandchildren: Mallory Sanders, Gage Sanders, Camden Sanders, Freddie Glass, Alissa Glass, Julianna Glass, Adriana Thigpen, Becca Brannon and Damion Spires; siblings: Evelyn Craig, Wayne Nolan and Betsy (Tommy) Isbell.
