Dorothy Beard Brooks

Mrs. Dorothy Beard Brooks, age 42, a resident of Stanfill Drive in Columbia, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Services for Mrs. Brooks will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Ronnie Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 Am till service time at the funeral home.
Born in Delhart, TX, she was the daughter of the late Travis and Ruth Wooton Beard and wife of Jimmy Brooks and a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Kimberly Brooks, Jimmy Brooks, Jr. and Jennifer Brooks, all of Columbia; sisters: Judy Beard Green, Gwendol Beard Jackie Roland, Betty Beard Steve Love, Wanda Beard David Mercer, Debbie Beard Steven Curry and Jodi Beard Juan Soto, all of Columbia and Mary Beard Johnson of Hohenwald. She was preceded in death by a sister: Delores Beard Bradford and a brother: Travis Odell Beard.
Pallbearers will be David Mercer, Jackie Roland, Michael Roland, Spencer Noblit, Joey Massey and John Massey.
