Dorothy Ann Roost Bates

Mrs. Dorothy Bates, 82, a resident of the Farm in Summertown, died Friday, May 9, at Maury Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen Roost and widow of Albert W. Bates.
She is survived by a son, Albert K. Bates of Summertown; a daughter, Kathryn Hill of Norfork, VA.; a sister, Mary Job of Los Altos Hills, CA.; grandchildren, Gretchen Bates of New York City, Pagan Hill of Juneau, Alaska and Will Bates Of Nashville, Tn.
A memorial service will be held on May 18, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Farm cemetery in Summertown, Tn. Call 931-964-2275 for information. Donations in lieu of flowers or gifts may be directed to:
