Dorothy Allen Foster

Mrs. Dorothy Allen Foster, age 83, resident of Brannon Court, passed away on Friday evening, December 16, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Dorothy was born September 22, 1928 in Maury County, the daughter of the late Joseph Smith Allen and Elsie Jeter Allen. Dorothy was married to the late Mayburn E. "Bucky" Foster, and together they had owned Bucky's Restaurant and the By-Pass Deli. She was retired after 17 years in the Dietary dept. at Bel-Air Nursing Home. Dorothy was of the Church of Christ faith.

Graveside services for Dorothy were conducted Sunday at 12:00 noon Rose Hill Cemetery with her son, Eddie Foster officiating.

Survivors include her son, Mayburn Edward "Eddie" Foster of Antioch; three grandchildren, Mayburn Edward Faye Foster III of Ethridge, Chad Everett Julie Foster of Pulaski and Andrea Faye David Poarch of Elkton, TN along with 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Jane Potts and one brother, Joe Allen.

Williams Funeral Home in Columbia assisted the family with arrangements.
