Mrs. Doris Tommie Prince, age 83, a resident of Sheddan Drive in Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, February 21 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Prince will be conducted Saturday at
11:00 AM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points and Monty Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Born in Cullman County, AL, she was the daughter of the late Idus and Mittie Aldridge Chambers and the wife of the late Elzie Charlie Prince. Mrs. Prince was the retired from Weather Tamer and a volunteer with Maury Regional Hospital Auxiliary for 24 years. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Dalford Mable Prince of Lawrenceburg, Wade Prince of Nashville and Dennis Judy Prince of Pulaski; a daughter, Margie Mingledorff of Asheville, NC; two brothers, J.V. Chambers of Cullman, Al and I.H. Chambers of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, Carman Jeremiah James of Hohenwald, Bryan Prince of Lake City, FL, James Sarah Bradley of Asheville, NC, Matt Mitzi Prince and Andrea Tommy Wells, both of Pulaski; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Members of the family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Maury Regional Auxiliary.
