Mrs. Doris Lindsey Church, age 97, a resident of Ragsdale Road in Columbia, passed away Saturday, January 3, at Life Care Center of Centerville, TN.
Funeral services for Mrs. Church will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, January 5, at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Gary Clements and Brother Charles Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Fannie Blankenship Lindsey. She was the widow of Johnnie Church. Mrs. Church worked at the Tennessee Knitting Mill and mostly as a loving wife, mother, house wife and enjoyed her gardening. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by one son: Billy Church of Columbia; two brothers Claudie Lindsey and Ted Virginia Lindsey both of Columbia. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be O. G. Church, Frank Church, Frank Lindsey, Billy Ray King, Willard Temmes, Terry Lindsey, Orval Lindsey and Eugene Goodwin.
Honorary pallbearers will be member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Columbia.
Memorials may be made to the Concord Cemetery Association in care of Virginia Lindsey, 1145 Old Williamsport Rd, Columbia, TN.
