Doris Dillehay

Doris Dillehay, 79, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on April 1, 2025. She was born on January 26, 1946, in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late M.C. and Delphia Head.

A devoted homemaker, Doris found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a keen eye for treasures at yard sales and a remarkable green thumb, tending to her beloved flowers, especially pink roses. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family and held a deep faith in the Baptist church.

Doris is survived by her children, Billy (Joyce) Dillehay, J.C. Dillehay, Sammy Howell, and Tammie Darnell; her sisters, Dorothy Williams and Joan Rice; and many grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and legacy forward. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Charles Howell, Mark Howell, Sherry Overtreet, and Ruby Boyd.

A service to honor Doris's life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.

Doris’s warmth, love, and unwavering faith will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
