Doris B. Kibbons

Mrs. Doris Kibbons, a resident of Whitney Drive in Columbia, passed away Saturday at her home.

Born September 16, 1914 in Decatur, AL, daughter of the late Dr. John Howard and Bess May Black and wife of the late Charles "Cal" Kibbons. She was a home maker and she had worked for Victor Chemical during WWII. Mrs. Kibbons was a longtime member of the First Presbyterin Church and a member of the choir.

She is survived by her sons: Charles Joane Kibbons of Cookeville and John Kibbons of Alaska; grandsons: Charles "Kip" Kibbons III of Nashville and Christopher "Chris" Kibbons of Murfreesboro.

A memorial service for Mrs. Kibbons will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia with Joe Evans officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 till service time at the church.
