Dora Belle Staggs Rankin, loving mother, age 42 of Columbia, passed away February 1, 2016 at her residence.
Dora was born on September 7, 1973 in Columbia, Tennessee to Austin and Velma Mai Clark McGaw. Dora enjoyed fishing on the Duck River and Williamsport Lakes. She was a UT Vols fan and loved Peyton Manning. VFL! Dora’s most important role in life was being a mother and making sure her children were provided for. She was a special person and she will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Dora was a member at Faith Pentecostal Church.
Dora’s leaves behind her cherished children: Brittany Nicole Taylor, Cristan Joy Taylor, and James Dee Washington Taylor III all of Columbia; beloved sisters: Bessie (David) Schmidt and Abbie (Walter) Grimes both of Columbia; adored nieces and nephews: Tasha (Bryan) Street, Tonya Maxwell, Audra Todd, Starr Todd, Angela Wilhoite, Bud Todd, and Corie Randall. Dora joins the loved ones gone before her, including her father: Austin Staggs; siblings: Charles Harlan, Elsie Staggs, Elaine Staggs, and Joyce Ann Staggs; grandparents: Velton Clark and Myrtle Bell Clark; uncle: Paul Clark; and her aunt: Pearlene Clark.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
