Donna Sue Burchett Howington passed away on July 16, 2019, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 3, 1940, in Jenkins, Kentucky to the late Herman and Minnie Stambaugh Burchett.
Donna worked for many years as a bookkeeper and later on as secretary for Randstad at General Motors in Spring Hill, Tennessee. She was a member of Central Christian Church and had a true servant’s heart, always caring and giving to others. She enjoyed vacationing with her children, going on cruises, being with family, watching her great-grandchildren and going to their soccer games, going to church, boating at Tim’s Ford Lake, cooking for others and making her “famous” oatmeal cookies and macaroni salad. Her greatest joy was loving her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she adored.
She is survived by her husband: James Howington; daughters: Nancy Denise (George) Stinson and Elizabeth Ann (Steve) Finney all of Cincinnati, Ohio; 5 grandchildren: Brad (Jennifer) and Ashley Stinson, Cory Finney, Emily (Eric) Weller, Logan Finney; 3 great-grandchildren: Caleb, Grayson, and Will Stinson; twin sister: Nancy Burchett (Larry) Mullins; sister: Jimmie Ann Burchett Farley; sisters-in-law: Judy Pike and Anna Howington Lamb and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings: Willard (Lorrene), Edwin, Frankie, John Morgan, Elizabeth (Donald) Nash.
Services will be July 20, 2019, at 11:00 AM. at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia with Tracy Cameron officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
