Donald Schmidt, Jr.

Donald Schmidt, Jr. passed away on May 28, 2024, at the age of 59 in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Born on August 10, 1964, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late Donald Schmidt Sr. and Barbara Trupp Schmidt, Don lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty.

Don was known for his contagious laughter, a sound that could light up any room and bring smiles to all who heard it. He never met a stranger, always offering a warm handshake or a kind word, making friends wherever he went. His joyful spirit and friendly nature made him a beloved figure in his community.

An avid golfer, Don found peace and pleasure on the golf course, enjoying the camaraderie and challenge of the sport. He was also a passionate fan of the Miami Dolphins, cheering them on with enthusiasm and loyalty through every season.

Above all, Don was devoted to his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and took immense pride in their achievements and happiness. He is survived by his children: Steven (Kayla) Schmidt, Michael (Elisha) Schmidt, and Kimberly (Tony) Pardo; and his adored grandchildren: Joseph, Connor, Madilynn, Braedon, Lilly, Silas, and Sawyer. Donald also leaves behind his loving sisters: Valerie (Steve) Swann, Lisa (Boules) Wahba, and Donna Schmidt.

Don is reunited with his parents, whose memories he cherished and whose legacies he upheld throughout his life.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The service for Donald will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee with Ricky Cotton officiating. Don will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
