Donald Pulley, age 54, a resident of Overton Drive in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, November 10 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born December 3, 1955 in Lewis County, he was the son of Ida Dean Kilburn Brewer and the late James Edward Pulley. He managed the Shady Brook Cinema for the Vinson family. He was a loving father, a super guy, outspoken and a mama's boy, yet respectful of his mother. He attended the Solid Rock Family Worship Center. Donald especially loved meeting his special friends weekly for dinner and movies.
In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by a sister: Ada Jane Sonny Flippo of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews: Seth Flippo, Jim Flippo, Bethany Dodge and Makayla Dodge; mother of his son and the love of his life: Patricia Pulley Pitts of Columbia; mother-in-law: Dot Swann; sisters-in-law: Dianne Bradford, Sandra Griggs, Tammy Jenkins, Lisa Poarch and Leigh Ann Hinson; brother-in-law: Donald Morris; several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son: Steven Edward Pulley; paternal grandparents: Willie and Sally Pulley; maternal grandparents: Frank and Ollie Kilburn; step father: Tom Brewer, Jr.; father-in-law: Fred M. Swann
Funeral services for Donald will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Georgina Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Carey Bradford, Jim Flippo, Seth Flippo, Sonny Flippo, Blake Jenkins and Brad Cashion. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Solid Rock Family Worship Center.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the St. Jude Children s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Steven and Donald Pulley.
